Welcome to Sim School of Highland Dance!
Established in 1991, the Sim School of Highland Dance enrolls dancers ranging in age from 3 to adult. Classes are offered for both recreational and competitive dancers.
Dancers travel from considerable distance to enjoy classes at our Embro studio. It's worth the drive for quality instruction! The studio operates upon the basic principle of personal goal setting and respect for others. Our success is attained through persistence and appreciation of skill development.
Welcome to all of our Sim School dancers, families and friends!
Please make sure that you come properly attired and equipped for class. This includes having white knee socks and ghillies for highland classes, practice skirts for national classes, and kilts and hose for kilt week! Don't forget your notebook and pen!
Parents are welcome in the studio to see the progress of their dancer during kilt week. During regular highland and national classes, parents can watch their dancers on the tv in the loft. This helps us to minimize class disruptions.
COVID-19 UPDATE
We are pleased to announce that in-studio classes have resumed, accomodating small socially-distanced groups or family bubbles.
We are following the local public health recommendations, to prevent COVID-19 transmission. The loft remains closed to parents. Dancers are expected to come dressed and ready to go. We expect dancers to have a face mask, follow social distancing and hand-washing requirements, Dancers should have their own water bottle.
If you are feeling unwell or have COVID-19 symptoms, please do not enter the studio. There are lots of ways for dancers to keep practising and working on their goals! Sherry has been (and will continue) to post exercises and practice videos on our private facebook page. If you haven't joined yet, please do so! This is a great resource for all the things offered by our studio!
Stay healthy!
