Sim Dancers at Duffus Castle, Scotland in 2017

Welcome to
Sim School of Highland Dance

Welcome to Sim School of Highland Dance!

Established in 1991, the Sim School of Highland Dance enrolls dancers ranging in age from 3 to adult.  Classes are offered for both recreational and competitive dancers.

Dancers travel from considerable distance to enjoy classes at our Embro studio. It's worth the drive for quality instruction!  The studio operates upon the basic principle of personal goal setting and respect for others. Our success is attained through persistence and appreciation of skill development.

Dance is an amazing facility to teach children character, discipline and passion. Our staff look forward to working with our dancers this year!

Welcome to all of our Sim School dancers, families and friends!

Please make sure that you come properly attired and equipped for class. Hair must be pulled back and tidy (buns are encouraged).

Dancers should come with knee socks and ghillies for highland classes, practice skirts for national classes, and their kilts and hose for kilt week! All dancers (except Primary 6 and under) will also require ankle weights. Don't forget your notebook and pen!

The Loft is open for parents who are vaccinated. We have a camera in the studio so parents can see the progress of their dancers. This helps us to minimize class disruptions.

COVID-19 Notes

Since we have a number of dancers who are not yet old enough to receive Covid-19 vaccinations, we ask that dancers and parents continue to follow masking, hand hygiene, and sanitization practices, to help prevent community spread in our studio.

If you are feeling unwell or have COVID-19 symptoms, please do not enter the studio. Participation in classes through Zoom allows dancers to stay up to date with their classes, continue their practicing and working on their goals.  If this option is required for your dancer, please let Sherry know.
